edus2Do you remember the story of Slavko Mršević, a boy from Rudo, who was denied the right to education, friends, and basic human rights simply because he is autistic?

Slavko is one among thousands of children in BiH who are faced with autism and a lack of systemic support.

There isn’t much knowledge about autism in BiH, which is why the system often lacks adequate solutions. Children on the autism spectrum encounter obstacles in the education and healthcare systems. People in their immediate surroundings react inadequately, and the entire family is faced with a host of problems.

All About Establishing a Financial Management System

More than 20 participants learned about financial management during a 3-day training held in Sarajevo on December 4-6.

The participants learned about the internal controls system, financial accounting and reporting, the basic components of financial management in non-governmental organizations, and the practical steps and elements necessary for establishing a financial management system. They learned the basics of hiring staff, and all the legal obligations of an NGO as an employer.

Another training was held on the topic of Project Cycle Management – Writing Project Proposals. The participants were grantees of USAID’s Marginalized Populations Support Activity, and other civil society organizations dealing with issues of marginalized groups in BiH.

A training on Legal and Organizational Structures, held on October 23-25, 2018 in Ilidža, started the fourth cycle of trainings intended for grantees of the Marginalized Populations Support Activity (USAID/PPMG) and other interested local CSOs focused on improving the position of marginalized groups in BiH.
