LGBTI Persons are Entitled to Public Services Too

LGBTHuman rights of LGBTI persons were the main topic of the roundtable “Local Action for Ensuring Systematic Support to LGBTI Persons in Sarajevo Canton”, held on 19 December 2017 in Sarajevo by the Sarajevo Open Center (SOC), as one of the activities of the project “Institutional Support Network for LGBTI Persons in Sarajevo Canton”, supported by USAID’s Marginalized Populations Support Activity (USAID/PPMG).

Importance and Basic Principles of Strategic Planning

The last training was intended for organizations selected through a public call issued in September 2017, whose activities are focused on improving the position of persons with disabilities, the Roma, women and youth. This training was dedicated to strategic planning. 

Sarajevo Gets Another Service Center for Families of Children and Persons with Developmental Disabilities

The Center, located on the Obala Kulina bana street, was opened in a formal ceremony by the US Ambassador to BiH, Maureen Cormack, Mayor of the Stari Grad Municipality, Ibrahim Hadžibajrić and BiH track and field champion and the Center’s first goodwill ambassador, Amel Tuka.

Project Cycle Management – Writing Project Proposals was the second topic in the third cycle of trainings intended for local CSOs whose activities are focused on improving the position of marginalized groups. The training was held on November 14-16, 2017 in Teslić.

More than BAM 70 000 for Families of Children and Persons with Disabilities, Mobile Team Services Coming Soon

SC ZvjezdiceOver the next two years, the Service Center “Dajte nam šansu-Zvjezdice” will keep providing free services for families of children and persons with developmental disabilities in the Banja Luka region, thanks to BAM 70 000, provided by USAID’s Marginalized Populations Support Activity (USAID/PPMG).

The grant agreement was signed today at the Center, by the Chief of Party of USAID’s Marginalized Populations Support Activity, Jasmin Bešić and the Director of the Service Center “Dajte nam šansu – Zvjezdice” Željka Perišić Trubajić.
