Service Center “Give Us a Chance” Continues Working

A grant-awarding contract between the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Association of Families of Children and Persons with Developmental Disabilities “Give Us a Chance” was signed on 18 August 2015 in Sarajevo. USAID Marginalized Populations Support Activity (USAID PPMG) will finance a two-year project entitled “Service Center Give Us a Chance” worth $297,991.

The project includes opening a service center in Banja Luka and another center in Sarajevo. This will contribute to developing a support system for families of children and persons with disabilities, at the level of Sarajevo Canton and in other parts of BiH.

Cooperation Agreement Signed Between USAID and the Embassy of the Czech Republic

David Barth, USAID Mission Director for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Jakub Skalnik, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Bosnia and Herzegovina, signed a cooperation agreement today in Sarajevo, as a part of a common initiative to promote the responsible deinstitutionalization of persons with disabilities in BiH. The agreement was signed at the Service Center for Children with Disabilities «Dajte nam šansu» (Give Us a Chance).

Training on Monitoring and evaluation held

 ME7A three-day training «Monitoring and evaluation» was held in Sarajevo on June 23-25, 2015. The training was attended by municipal officers in charge of issues of youth, the Roma, women, persons with special needs and other marginalized groups, and representatives of youth councils from FBiH and RS.
