Service Center for Supporting Families of Children and Persons with Developmental Disabilities to Open in Beginning of March

IMG 0131 webIn Sarajevo, on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, an agreement was signed on establishing the Service Center for supporting families of children and persons with developmental disabilities in Tuzla.

The agreement on establishing the Service Center was signed by Jasmin Bešić, Chief of Party of USAID’s Marginalized Populations Support Activity and Šefika Maketić, Director of the Association for Human Rights and Social Inclusion, and free services offered by the Center will be used by more that 70 families of children and persons with disabilities and developmental issues from the Tuzla Canton. 

How to Make Banking Services More Accessible to Persons with Disabilities?

IMG 0060The round table “Problems and difficulties faced by persons with disabilities when using banking services in BiH” was held on February 9, 2017 in Sarajevo.

The goal was to identify problems and find the solutions for obstacles faced by persons with disabilities on a daily basis.

U.S. Ambassador Maureen Cormack Officially Opens Service Center for Families of Children and Persons with Disabilities in Foča

cormack1During a formal ceremony, U.S. Ambassador Maureen Cormack and Municipal Mayor Radislav Mašić opened the Service Center for families of children and persons with developmental disabilities in Foča.

The Daycare Center, which thanks to the support of USAID’s Marginalized Populations Support Activity in the amount of 50,000 BAM was transformed into a Service Centre, offers free services to 55 families from Foča, Ustikolina, Čajniče, and other towns in the vicinity.
